Why scraping needs headless browsers
Many modern websites load content dynamically with JavaScript after the initial HTML response. A simple HTTP request won’t see that content, but a headless browser actually renders the page like a real browser would, so scripts can capture what a visitor would see.
Common tools
Puppeteer, Playwright, and Selenium are widely used headless browser automation frameworks. They’re heavier and slower than plain HTTP requests, so scraping platforms typically use them selectively — only on pages that genuinely require JavaScript rendering.
